Recently, we’ve received many questions from travelers with flight plans for Thanksgiving week and the following days. To answer these questions, we’d like to inform you that SJU Airport operates during regular hours.
As we published before, for your safety and that of the entire airport community, we continue to implement our disinfection protocols, which have been accredited by the Airports Council International (ACI). Since the global emergency began, we have been pioneers in establishing prevention programs and protocols before many other jurisdictions. In some cases, we have been the only ones to implement specific measures. Our primary responsibility and commitment are to our employees, partners, locals, and travelers who visit us. The airport is the entrance and exit of our island. For this reason, we have not skimped on investing in a comprehensive health and safety plan that addresses all areas.
Reminder for travelers
If you are traveling to Puerto Rico, you must remember to meet the requirements established by the Government:
- Provide evidence of a negative molecular test result for COVID-19 performed 72 hours before your trip.
- Fill out the Traveler’s Declaration Form before traveling.
- Use a mask to cover your nose and mouth at all times.
You can review other local recommendations in our Passenger’s Guidelines.
If, on the other hand, you are traveling from Puerto Rico to other destinations, we invite you to check what are the health requirements established there. You can find that information on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website. As recently published in several media outlets, CDC rose to level 4 in most destinations worldwide.
It is very important to us that both passengers and staff working at SJU Airport and the entire airport community are okay. That’s why we continue to focus on providing an ideal safe environment for you to travel safely.
